Better Coffee

Oat milk, coconut, almond and soya alternatives available

Coffee; It’s one of the most popular drinks in the world with around 2.25 billion cups of it being consumed every day! But with so many variations of it available, it can be hard to decide which is the right one for you. So we’ve decided to do a breakdown of all the different coffee’s we have available at Triple Two, to help you choose. All of our coffees can be tailored to suit you by adding extra shots, syrup flavourings or milk alternatives to them and we are constantly updating our single origin coffee so there’s always something new to try!

Cappuccinos are a staple of any coffee menu here at Triple Two Coffee we start with an espresso, we then dust the shot with hot chocolate powder. This gives a wonderful marbled effect when pouring steamed milk on top and a lovely subtle chocolate hit with every sip. This also gives a higher contrast for our baristas latte art. Our cappuccinos are not super frothy. Which we prefer. That being said if you want a frothier cappuccino then ask for it dry and you’ll get exactly what you’re after. You can also have it without chocolate. In fact, you can have any drink how you’d like it. Extra hot, skinny, with alternative milk or with 1 shot. Just let us know and we will make it just how you like it.

The name latte is a shortened version of the Italian name Cafelatte which means milk coffee. This drink is by far the most popular coffee we sell. It’s made by pouring hot textured milk over espresso. It’s perfect for you if you want something that’s not too strong but still want the caffeine fix. If you want a more subtle coffee drink then this ones for you. Have it skinny, with one shot and a sugar-free syrup if you want. Our blend works with literally any combination you can come up with and we are always more than happy to make every drink exactly how you like it.

An Americano is one of our simpler drinks, made by pouring Espresso over boiling water with a choice of milk served on the side. It has a similar strength yet different taste to a filter coffee. It’s a good choice for you if you’re looking for something simple or if you’re watching your calorie intake.

Espresso yourself. If you’re looking for a quick pick me up then our espresso is for you. If you don’t brew a perfect espresso you have nowhere to hide, we use this mentality with all our drink preparation and we’re confident it shows. If you’re not 100% satisfied we will happily provide another drink.  The espresso is the base of all our coffee’s at Triple Two, It’s made by pushing boiling water through finely ground coffee for around 23 seconds to create a small strong drink with a smooth ‘crema’ on top. It’s perfect for you if you’re in a rush or if you just enjoy the taste of coffee.

A Picollo is like the smaller cousin of the flat white, Our Piccolo we pour a double ristretto, with perfectly steamed milk. We show a little bit of love for those that want a little bit of steamed milk with their double Ristretto. Great for coffee lovers who need something quick and easy to drink.

The name mocha is derived from the city of Mocha, Yemen, which was one of the centres of early coffee trade. The coffee grown in Yemen has a distinctly chocolatey aroma, the modern variation is a nod to those qualities creating something Moorish and intensely satisfying. Why not go really big and have some marshmallows and whipped cream to take it to the next level!

Flat white

Flat whites are a favourite of ours at Tiple Two. Made by pouring ‘Microfoam’ (Steamed milk with a smooth texture and small bubbles) over a double ristretto ( a restricted double espresso) it creates a small strong coffee, perfect for when you need a great tasting pick me up. Hotly contested over who came up with the recipe and just how to make it. We make it with a high dry dose of coffee with less water than a normal double shot giving a far richer base for this lovely little 6oz drink. As with all our masterfully made drinks, you’ll get a bit of latte art to show the care taken in what we do and to showcase how much fun we have with every drink we make. If you want to see something specific then request a pick with our barista and they’ll do their best to sort you out.

A macchiato is made by pouring a very small amount of frothed milk over a single or double espresso.  ‘Macchiato’ means ‘stained’ or ‘spotted’. The milk in this drink is used to moderate the taste of the espresso and add a very small amount of sweetness to it. This is a great choice for you if you find an espresso just slightly too strong.

Con panna

Similar to a Macchiato, a Con Pana is a single or double espresso but instead of being served frothed milk on top it’s served with a small amount of whipped cream to help it go down very easily. Great if you’re in a rush or you just fancy something a little sweeter.
