Our Coffee
Coffee; it’s one of the most popular drinks in the world with around 2.25 billion cups of it being consumed every day! But with so many variations of it available, it can be hard to decide which is the right one for you. So we’ve decided to do a breakdown of all the different coffees we have available at Triple Two, to help you choose. We are constantly updating our single origin coffee so there’s always something new to try! In addition to our single origin coffee,  try our House Blend, which combines a blend of light and medium roast coffee beans from four different continents!
Oat, Coconut, Tiger Nut, Almond and Soya milk alternatives are all available at no extra charge so everyone can enjoy our tasty coffee.
Cappuccino
Cappuccinos are a popular choice on any coffee menu. Here at Triple Two, we start with an espresso, then we dust the shot with hot chocolate powder. which gives a wonderful marbled effect when pouring steamed milk on top and a lovely subtle chocolate hit with every sip. This also gives a higher contrast for our baristas latte art. If you want a frothier cappuccino then ask for it dry and you’ll get exactly what you’re after. You can also have it without chocolate. In fact, you can have any drink exactly how you’d like it. Just let us know and we will make it.
latte
The word latte is a shortened version of the Italian word ‘Cafelatte’ which means milk coffee. This drink is by far the most popular coffee. It’s made by pouring hot, textured milk over espresso. It’s perfect if you want something that’s not too strong but still want that caffeine fix. Our blend works with literally any combination you can come up with and we are always more than happy to make every drink exactly how you like it.
Americano
The Americano is simply a classic drink, made by pouring espresso over boiling water with a choice of milk served on the side. It has a similar strength yet different taste to a filter coffee. It’s a good choice for you if you’re looking for something simple or if you’re watching your calorie intake.
Flat white
The Flat White is a favourite of ours here at Triple Two. It is made by pouring ‘microfoam’ over a double ristretto. It creates a small strong coffee, perfect for when you need a great tasting pick me up. We make it with a high dose of coffee with less water than a normal double shot giving a far richer base for this lovely little 5oz drink. As with all our masterfully made drinks, you’ll get one of our barista’s signature pieces of latte art, to show the care taken in what we do and to showcase how much fun we have with every drink we make. If you want to see something specific, then request it with your barista and they’ll do their best to sort you out.
Espresso
The espresso is the base of all our coffee at Triple Two. It’s made by pushing boiling water through finely ground coffee for around 23 seconds to create a small strong drink with a smooth ‘crema’ on top. If you’re looking for a quick pick-me-up, then our espresso is for you. If you don’t brew a perfect espresso you have nowhere to hide, we use this mentality with all our drink preparation and we’re confident it shows. It’s perfect for you if you’re in a rush or if you just enjoy the taste of coffee.
Piccolo
A Picollo is like the smaller cousin of the Flat White. For our Piccolo we pour a double ristretto, with perfectly steamed milk. We show a little bit of love for those that want a little bit of steamed milk with their single ristretto. Great for coffee lovers who need something quick and easy to drink.
MOCHA
The name Mocha is derived from the city of Mocha, Yemen, which was a centre of early coffee trade. The coffee grown in Yemen has a distinctly chocolatey aroma and this modern variation is a nod to those qualities, creating something Moreish and intensely satisfying. Why not indulge yourself and have some marshmallows and whipped cream to take it to the next level!
Macchiato
A Macchiato is made by pouring a very small amount of frothed milk over a single or double espresso. ‘Macchiato’ means ‘stained’ or ‘spotted’. The milk in this drink is used to moderate the taste of the espresso and add a very small amount of sweetness to it. This is a great choice for you if you find an espresso just slightly too strong.
Con panna
Similar to a Macchiato, a Con Pana is a single, or double, espresso. Instead of being served frothed milk on top it’s served with a small amount of whipped cream to help it go down easily. Great if you’re in a rush or you just fancy something a little sweeter.
